The gentleman from Prestige did an awesome job on cleaning my upholstery. It was a challenge because I have 2 large dogs that like to sleep on the couch and there were some stains on it. He was... very polite and even when I had to call their office the people on the phone were really polite and helpful. That's something you don't get often these days. The price was very reasonable also as I had called around to other companies first and 1 company wanted to charge me almost $500 to clean a 4 seater couch.Great job all around!read more

I would advise anyone to clean their dryer ducts which is additional but well worth the... cost. They did their job in a reasonable amount of time, no rush. As I had never had my ducts cleaned, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I chose Prestige because of their reputation and they are based in my town of Whitby. No wonder they win awards every year. The two... technicians were on time, polite, and answered all my questions thoughtfully. They showed me photos of the ducts. They wore covers over their shoes and masks. Every handle/surface they touched, they cleaned. I am delighted with the service Prestige provided. I will certainly call them again and would highly recommend them.read more

This is my second duct cleaning with Prestige and I am very impressed. Dylan and Joel did a great job! Just like the first time, the two technicians today were really thorough with their cleaning.... It's not just a simple suction. They use tools to go through the entire duct system and agitate the sides of the ducts to shake off dust, debris, etc. They also vacuum all vent covers and vacuum up any debris that appears around the vents. I'm consistently impressed with their attention to detail. I'll give an example. Dylan was cleaning an air intake upstairs. He and I noticed that there was a lot of old wiring that is kept in the intake (cable cords, old TV antenna cord, stereo cables.) After he was done, he took the time to roll up all the old wiring and tie it together so that it would like nice and clean if someone were to look into the air intake. I'm sure that no one other than myself would care to look in there. But the fact that they went to that degree speaks volumes to me. That is why Prestige is my go-to company for duct cleaning and that is why I'll use them again. I highly recommend them!read more

Very impressed with this Carpet Cleaning service! When I first called and spoke to the sales person who booked my clean, she really did her best to fit in the clean to my difficult schedule. Really... liked how the dispatch person called to remind us of the cleaning date and called again to let me know they were going to be delayed. Cleaner arrived promptly. These are the pics from before Prestige came and cleaned our ducts. Excellent service would highly recommend! Marc and Dylan took the time to explain what they were doing and provide advice on how to... maintain the HVAC system post-cleaning, all while being very neat in the house. Very noticeable difference in the indoor air quality right away! I feel much more comfortable with my furnace and heating system now, it had been about 10 years since we had any work done on the vents.The service is pricey but I get why now.. When I initially called I was concerned they wouldn’t be able to accommodate my couch & chair cleaning before Christmas. I spoke with Lisa who was exceptionally helpful, easily arranged an... appointment that fit into my schedule (before Christmas) and provided a firm price. A few days later she phoned again to confirm and then another reminder the day before. Joel arrived on time, was super pleasant and went right to work... dogs, kids and time take a toll on furniture but Joel made everything look new again! He placed drop cloths from door to furniture, bumpers around the bench in my hallway to ensure it wasn’t damaged by the hoses and he scrubbed my couches clean and ensured my satisfaction before even packing up his supplies. Regular use of furniture causes these almost invisible soil particles to penetrate deeper than a regular vacuum or personal steam cleaner can extract. Over time, soil particles degrade the fibres of your upholstery, causing permanent damage and decreased appearance.
My furniture has some removable covers – why not just put them in the washing machine?
Your washing machine & laundry detergent are not designed for properly cleaning the designer fabrics used for furniture. Zippered cusions are designed this way so that the foam or cushion can be replaced when it wears out, not so that the cover can be washed at home. Professional furniture cleaning provides a thorough clean without fading, shrinkage and damage to the shape or fabric. Furthermore, when you clean just the cushion covers the rest of the furniture will not match the clean cushions.
Will professional upholstery cleaning remove the protective coating applied when I bought my furniture?
Over time all fabric protectors lose effectiveness, with or without cleaning. If your furniture was purchased more than 2 years ago or is clearly showing signs of soiling, professional upholstery cleaning is recommended. Cleaning will remove what is left of the protectant that was applied when you bought your furniture. We are a certified applicator of 3M Scotchgard ™ Fabric Protector, the worlds leading fabric protection system.
Can you do anything to eliminate strong odours in my furniture?
In addition to Scotchgard ™ which is applied following your cleaning, we also offer Advanced Generation Deodorizer™, which is applied prior to the cleaning and works to disinfect the upholstery, remove odours and leave a pleasant light citrus scent. For biological stains and odours, we recommend application of an enzyme based product called Bio-Treat ™. Bio-Treat ™ is applied following your cleaning and the active formula works over the next 24 to 48 hours to actually digest any residual organic material and stains, improving the appearance and the smell.

One or two days prior to your appointment, we will telephone you to confirm all of your details, including your cleaning address and your order. If you have any questions before then, please feel free to telephone us or contact us.
Before We Arrive:
1) Pre-Vacuum – furniture captures a lot of dust, dirt and hair. Much as you would vacuum or sweep a hard floor before mopping or cleaning, it is very important that your furniture is thoroughly pre vacuumed before we clean it. This can make a huge difference in cleaning results!
2) Preparing Your Space – please move all lamps, plants and breakables that might get in the way of access of all sides of the furniture before we arrive and make sure that the areas to be cleaned are clear of additional items (throw pillows & blankets, etc.).
On the Day of Cleaning:
1) Time – If your appointment is scheduled for the morning, you will be called the previous business day with your narrowed down time of arrival, if you have an appointment scheduled for the afternoon, you will get a call between 10 am and 11 am the day of your cleaning with your narrowed down time.
2) Parking – we require legal, paved parking within 30 feet of the entrance of your home.
3) Payment – we accept debit and all major credit cards. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept personal cheques or cash.

Immediately After Cleaning:
Pay Attention to Drying
After cleaning your upholstered furniture will be slightly damp for up to 24 hours, depending on the temperature, air flow and humidity in your home. You can help speed up the drying process by keeping throw pillows or blankets off of damp furniture, running fans, including the summer fan on your furnace, opening windows (in summer) and keeping the area warm. If your furniture is not dry within a day, please contact us.
Spots & Stains
When stains have soaked thoroughly into upholstery, they often spread below the surface into the foam or batting, and cleaning can cause residues to “wick up”, causing stains to reappear or even appear larger after cleaning. If you have any concerns with reappearing stains, or any of the results of your cleaning, even after everything has dried, please telephone us.

Vacuum thoroughly: Although it may not be obvious, dust and dirt settle into your upholstery from the air and every day use. Vacuuming your furniture thoroughly with the furniture attachment of your vacuum helps to keep your furniture looking great longer. How frequently you should vacuum is based on how much dust is in the home and how much the furniture is used.
Spot Clean: If you have a small spill or spot, clean it carefully and quickly, while it is still wet, following our stain guide. Use an absorbent material such as paper or cotton towels to absorb as much as possible. If there is a large volume of liquid, we recommend calling a professional, as it will be difficult to extract on your own.
